Fantastic episode. Legitimate fear you can hear. 5 atars. Warning, graphic devil possession and spiritualism.

One of my favorite episodes.

I guess we all have different taste, but I think this is one of the worst episodes ever! Medieval style, witch hunt inspired tale about a woman possessed by a demon. **SPOILERS AHEAD** It would have been more interesting if Kim had not actually been possessed, but merely accused by fanatics. Also, I hated the Father's statement that Kim was possessed just because she was lonely or depressed, thus implying that all lonely, introverted people are evil, or have the potential to be evil just because they are alone. Very bad writing and very stupid story, imo!

Also, the ending is not clear to me either. **SPOILERS** Did the young man decide in the end that he really loved Kim and wanted to be with her, or did he just sacrifice his own happiness with Lucy so that Kim would no longer be alone and vulnerable to being possessed again? (Again, that stupid premise that lonely people are more likely to be possessed!)

Amy

They do a good job on the exorcism stories on CBS Mystery Theater, but they aren’t really my thing either. “I hope we won!” “We have to be vigilant of our souls like our freedoms.”

I really don't like witchcraft stories, but this one was "interesting". Had to listen to it twice to make sense of the storyline. I believe that Sam was not "in love" with Lucy - as it sounded from the beginning that he knew what his "feelings" was for her, but not what she truly felt for him. Plus, he mentioned something to the effect that her family wouldn't "control" him - my wording, but close enough to what I think he was saying. I also think it took what Kim went through to see that he not only saw her as a friend but as more than that too. IMO.

I agree with Amy. Not a good episode for a number of reasons. I guess I read the positive reviews and had my expectations way up.
