It's kind of tricky at some points to figure out who's who, but it's not really two couples; it's a bridal party. Bride, groom, best man, maid of honor. David and Eve are about to be married. Hank and Barbara aren't dating. It isn't so much a supernatural story as an action/adventure story, and not a bad one for radio where you can't actually see the whirlpools and the death-defying gymnastics. The ending is very satisfying. Action/adventure, questioned supernatural elements.

Four young spelunkers explore a cave which, when they were kids, had a legend attached to it about a "thing" that lurked inside. While they're in it, a collapse causes the opening to be blocked. Their efforts to find their way out, and the yo-yo of emotions from having hope to feeling hopeless, makes for some pretty good drama. The ending wasn't very creative, but oh, well.

I rate this episode ★★★ for AVERAGE. In ACT 1, it felt like it was going to be a horror story that there's a "thing" that's going to terrorize our 4 characters. In ACT 2, they do what they can to survive. In ACT 3, there happens to be a "thing" that exist in the cave, but not what you would expect. Check this episode out. =0]

I would concur with your average rating Russell. I would rate this as a2.5 stars out of 5. I got lost sometimes in who was who in the mix of characters but ironic enough it really did not matter as to the story all that much. I thought it ended kind of weak.

An interesting tale centered on four spelunkers who are trapped in a cave. Legend has it that a "Thing" resides in the cave which adds significantly to the tension.

We follow 4 people into a cave frequented in their childhood, and feared the legend of The Thing that dwelt within. After a landslide, they are trapped and must find their way out. Rather lame ending, and beginning, and middle for that matter.
