A mild-mannered warehouse worker takes abuse from his boss while the secretary who loves him broods. Meanwhile, a vigilante rids society of undesirable types. Make no assumptions before listening.

Stewart Haskins is a mild-mannered man who works in a grocery warehouse. He is competent but his boss is not and belittles him at every opportunity in an attempt to compensate for his own inadequacies. While Mr. Haskins doesn't seem the type to garner attention from anyone, a young lady who works in the office at the warehouse has taken an interest in him on two fronts; She is a studying psychology at night at the local college and is interested in making a case study of him. And second, she seems to have feelings for him. Meanwhile, someone termed "The Public Avenger" is depopulating the underworld. The young lady and her professor begin a quest to determine if they possess any clues to the killings.

A secretary wonders if her meek and mild coworker is actually a vigilante super hero.

A meek man is berated by his bumbling employer and admired by the meek but studious secretary. At the same time, the newswires are buzzing with the latest vigilante killing by the “public avenger.” The secretary’s psychology professor suggest that the public avenger is none other than the object of her affection. How preposterous...? A fun episode with great characters.

This was definitely a fun episode to listen to. Was the meek assistant really "The Public Avenger"? The world may never know. Arnold Stang's best performance on RMT.
