Interesting ending that raises some thought-provoking issues. I could sort of see it coming, though from the action of one of the main characters that would be out of place for someone truly in that sort of situation. Don't want to spoil it.

A murder is committed - 5 actually. A policeman investigates. Our characters include an old lady distraught over a canceled visit from her son, an immigrant grocer, a police detective, and his aunt. Finding the killer will not be easy.

This is a unique episode because of the nuance of the actor's voices who played the inspector and the aunt. They speak so refined and dignified like if they were PBS TV narrators speaking on 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous'. I really noticed the difference from the usual New York Brooklyn accents the usual actors have on Mystery Theater. As in the butcher and the murder victim in this episode. I am further floored coming on this site to find out the two actors did both parts! Amazing. Worth a listen. The climax I never expected either.

Bryna Raeburn and Earl Hammond performed those roles, but they aren’t credited here for some reason.

Morgan

Bryan Rayburn was not in this one. Carol Titiel and Tony Roberts did the honors. Both were excellent as usual.

Trina J

My goof. Yes Bryna was in it.

Trina Johnson.

I recommend this one. Unexpected ending for me as well. Finely acted.

Ann

Another great whodunit episode.

PZ

Good episode. I identify with the victims. I wonder how many listeners are lonely.
