I have listened to all of the shows up to this one which I found to be the darkest and quite depressing. There is nothing positive that I could find in this episode. What an unhappy ending - listen at your own risk!

I actually appreciate something darker for a change. Himan Brown and those who wrote the stories he produced came from an era in which there was a powerful production code in which good people always succeed, the guilty are always caught and punished and everything works out in the end. That just isn't representative of real life, so I'm pleased to find at least one or two episodes that don't hew so closely to those rather tired tropes.

This episode is so sad, particularly because it is supposed to be based on a true account (to an extent) from British law. I kept listening, holding out hope. For some things there are no words.
