Sam Dann was one of the best writers of CBSRMT and I give him props for writing a comedy. The plot, climax, & resolution were waggish-funny, but not Ha-Ha-Funny.The acting talents of Robert Morse (as Jim Pangborn), Bryna Raeburn (as Milly), Robert Dryden (as Julius Trautwine) and Jackson Beck (as the Sheriff) were phenomenal. Bryna Raeburn kept saying "hey-yo", it made me chuckle. The downside were the sound effects & music. Not enough sounds & jazzy tunes to make it feel like it was the Roaring Twenties, which is where the story takes place. And finally, E.G. Marshall keeps you entertained, only he uses old sayings/idioms. It would be nice to hear him use his own personal sayings/advices about time periods such as this since he lived through the Stock Market Crash of '29. Even though CBSRMT has done a lot of Drama-Mysteries & Fantasy-Mysteries, this is one of the few Farce-Mysteries you have to check out.
