A henpecked man visits a horse auction with his friend while his wife is out of town for a weekend. He finds himself compelled to purchase a horse that turns out to be nothing more than the stable horse. Having 'borrowed' money from his employer believing he could pay it back with winnings from his new possession, he is horrified at the prospect of having to ask his wife for the money to pay back the boss. But the stable horse is intimately familiar with the race horses in the stable, and what's more, he can talk. He shares information with the man about upcoming races.
