Kudos to Elspeth Eric for writing another terrific adaptation of Washington Irving's Gothic tale of Horror & Romance. And kudos to Paul Hecht for playing the role of Hendrik: the Specter Bridegroom. What I enjoyed the most, other than the ending twist, it was the music at the 10-minute 7-second mark where the chemistry between Hendrik & the bride named Herta (played by Patsy Bruder) goes from "amiable" to "pleasant delight." Robert Dryden (as Baron Van Landshort) and Grace Matthews (as Aunt Matilda) are terrific as you hear them in this CBSRMT episode. And E.G. Marshall talks about horror writers at the very end: Horace Walpole, Honore de Balzac, Washington Irving, and Edgar All Poe. He said all of this before in Episode #1013-THE GUILLOTINE. But still, his contribution as host of this series is always entertaining. If you enjoy Washington Irving's tales like "Rip Van Winkle" and "Legend of Sleepy Hollow", then you'll enjoy this one!

I also enjoyed it! I felt like the twist et me down some! But it was a good test as far as something I did not expect..
