This is the episode I have been looking for for 30 years. I taped it when I was 10. I thought I would never hear it again, and it was every bit as good as I remember. Thanks for having these programs available!

The CBSRMT had 23 adaptations by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and 14 of them are Sherlock Holmes stories. The music you'd hear in all 3 Acts sounds like it was perfectly meant for the Sherlock Holmes tales. This mystery tale was decent, but not my favorite. The fans should listen to this episode, but should also check out EPISODE #0623-A STUDY IN SCARLET; it was the first Sherlock Holmes story by Doyle.

Reminds me of an episode of Andy Griffith show except on that the shoes were os a man put on a cow! :)

Good memory! I think Andy Griffith did the story better. ;-)

I also thoroughly enjoy the Sherlick espisodes. I used to listen in my bed from an AM radio when I was a kid. Its also interesting to hear the news broadcasts from bavk then.
