This was a good one.

Based on a story by Maurice Leblanc--one of several that were adapted for the series.

Gerald Keane, the autour, should have consulted the history of the Battle of Gettysburg before writing this because he made a critical factual error. At about 8:05 the character says: "The canon face south, so it could be a Union army encampment." To try to decisively turn the tide of the war in the South's favor, Lee took his army into Pennsylvania, invading the North. Meade, the Union general, followed him. When they met, Lee's army turned and faced south to face them. One of the ironies of the battle was that the Confederate army came from the north and the Union from the south. Consequently, any canon facing south must be Confederate canon pointed at the Union line, not Union canon.
