One aspect of this show I found unbelievable was the change in Harry's mind from George Mason was the killer to he wasn't and they should be looking for a woman. Remember George's mother was convinced that her son did not commit the murder because her son told her he did not do it. Then Harry went back a second time to talk with George. George was being a smart-aleck but said he heard 'light footsteps, like a dame with heels'. Once Harry heard that, he was convinced George was not the killer and the show progressed along those lines. My thoughts are if you have a punk in custody for killing a police officer, he will say just about anything to save his neck.

Sounds like this one was written for good ole' Fred Gwynne. Still a good show. FWIW - I researched "Cheers" Steakhouse. It is now Simply Pasta That is for those WOR broadcasts with the old commercial.
