A rich and evil woman and her paramour frame a harmless drunk for the murder of a cabbie.

A fabulously wealthy woman plots to murder her husband with the help of her husband’s assistant. When a cab driver intervenes he too is killed. A local bum is picked up for the crime being in possession of the cabby’s ring. Police investigate and discover much of their evidence missing.
