Good one.

Definately one of the better ones.

Journey Into Nowhere lurches from scene to scene, with each piling on a new (and very familiar) concept from the supernatural B-list: mysterious artifact, exotic location, shifty native, deadly curse, femme fatale, evil cult, disembodied laughter, and even "It was all a dream... Or was it?" And that's only a partial list. There are enough ideas for ten scripts, which is the real problem here. It's an odd, unsatisfying episode perhaps best appreciated as an affectionate tribute to radio's cheesy-but-fun thrillers of the 30s and 40s, like The Hermit's Cave or Weird Circle. Not helping matters is the intrusive sound design, with effects so loud it's actually hard to make out the dialogue in places(at least on the version I heard).

Matt Sandwich

An archaeologist believes that if he can find a certain artifact, that it will lead to world peace. When he discovers a small totem related to his quest, he, like a responsible archaeologist and preserver of ancient artifacts, drills a hole through it and wears it around his neck. As he encounters locals on the street they tear away from him in terror. He learns that the totem he wears is a symbol of a most powerful spirit – and the longer he wears it, the more intimate he becomes with this mysterious force.

This episode was real clunker. I made it through the first two acts before I gave up. I couldn't really tell you what was going on in this confusing and meandering story. I guess after a string of good episodes, I was due for a bad one.

I wanted to like this one. The shrill voice of Mahmoud didn't help matters. It has a high cheese factor, like "Weird Circle" and other old-time horror/supernatural themed shows, but I know that wasn't intentional. This one is a misfire, and as much as I love Arnold Moss, I couldn't get into it at all.

Not the best of episodes nor the best of recordings (at least the one I heard). The episode was disjointed and difficult to follow, but perhaps it was supposed to be like a dream. It's kind of ironic that Arnold Moss not only starred in this episode but wrote it as well - I don't remember him being the writer on (m)any episodes.

Created a distinct terror within me, for the absolute possibilities of th his one.A real 1984 nod,and a great reminder of never give up..loved it!!

The wind is much too LOUD in most scenes. You'd think they were in a hurricane instead of just outside. That's the problem with the "wind" sound effects on this show. They really need other sound effects for outdoors, rather than just wind. As for the story itself, it's way overdone, imo. I got the feeling that they are trying to "scare" me with the horror of it all, but they are trying way too hard.

I rate this episode an 8.5 out of 10
