Not the best episode, but the first one I listened to after discovering the CBS Radio Mystery Theatre site. Is there a more comforting sound than the syrupy tones of the voice of Mason Adams?

I chose this one because it occurred to me that the title might be a muddling of Wendigo... Well, I suppose it is; intentionally though. It's a comedy set during the american Revolution and I had a battery failure about 1/3 of the way in. I haven't felt the desire to listen to the rest since then.

American revolution tale of a young man enchanted with the thought of the Ojibwa spirit Windandingo (no such character in my experience, although there is a Windigo that might serve a similar function.) Wanting to help with the war effort, he is encouraged, because of his age and gentle nature, to stay home and help out on the home front. His relationship with this Windandingo is such that he can call upon this spirit for help when he needs it, for it is a spirit concerned with justice. When the British arrive in his town at his family’s hotel, he has just the right friend at hand to help .

Interesting episode. I like the concept but I think I wanted to hear more "scary" sounds as the Indian spirit past. I wanted to feel the fear and hear it too. The lack of sound effect made the episode fall flat.
